Q. I've never ordered prescriptions over the Internet before. What are the steps involved?

A. Ordering prescriptions online with CanadianPrescriptionDrugstore.com takes only 3 quick and easy steps.

  • Using our A to Z drug search tool, select the medicines you require by adding them to your shopping cart.
  • Once finished your selections, click on Check Out, then fill in your account and shipping information.
  • Fax us your doctor's prescriptions using our printable Prescription Order Fax Cover Sheet. You can also scan and email your documents to us.

If you run into problems or have any questions about these steps, just call our toll-free customer care line 1-888-572-0832 and a representative will be happy to help you through the process.

Q. Can a Canadian Pharmacy legally fill my doctor's prescription?

A. Yes. Under Canadian law, a fully licensed Canadian Pharmacy can fill your prescription once a Canadian doctor has reviewed your medical history and approved the prescription.

Q. What about the safety of Canadian medications?

A. Canadian drug manufacturing and pharmacy safety standards are equal to, and often surpass all international standards. Canadian medications are regulated by the Federal Department of Health, which ensures the safety of the drugs manufactured in Canada, as well as the distribution of medications to pharmacies. Local Government Agencies regulate and ensure safety practices of licensed pharmacies in each province. Most Canadian medications are the identical products manufactured by the same pharmaceutical company's plant, often never opened, shipped to you in their original sealed containers.

Q. Are there any enrollment fees or hidden charges?

A. None whatsoever. You are charged only for the cost of each medication, plus the shipping fee. There are no membership fees, sales taxes or any duty fees.

Q. What does it cost for shipping?

A. Standard shipping costs a flat rate of $14.95 per prescription drug order. Standard shipping takes up to approx. 12 - 15 business days from our Canadian pharmacy. We offer Expedited Shipping Service for $39.95, which guarantees delivery of up to 10 business days from our Canadian pharmacy, or your shipping charge is free. We offer Free Shipping for your first order if it is over $250. For a one-time charge of $49.95 you can get free lifetime shipping for all your future prescription drug orders. We ship most Canadian prescription drug orders via Canadian Express Post, which is equivalent to Priority Mail. It comes with a tracking number, and is insured for up to $100. There are no other handling fees, drug dispensing fees, Canadian doctor fees or customs charges. If two or more people are ordering their prescription drugs from the same address at the same time, you will be billed for only one shipping charge from our Canadian pharmacy.

Q. Should I order a 90-day supply?

Q. How do I refill my order?

A. By phone, you can refill your order by calling our toll-free number 1-888-572-0832. By Fax: Print our Order Form. Complete the form. Do not forget to indicate your previous order number. Fax your re-fill order form to: 1-866-290-2272. You can also scan and email copies of your documents. You should refill your order at least three weeks before your prescription becomes due, to avoid any risk of you running out of medication.

Q. How many times can I refill my order?

A. Your doctor is the one that determines how many times you are allowed to refill your prescription. We can refill your order as many times as it is indicated on your prescription. Once you have received your maximum number of refills, you must request your doctor to give you a new prescription to be resent to us for processing.

Q. I have my prescriptions covered under an insurance plan. Can I purchase my medications from you under this plan?

A. Although we cannot accept insurance company payments, we provide proper receipts for you to claim your purchase back as expenses. Please check with your insurance company to verify if they accept Canadian Pharmacy receipts under their plan.

Q. Why are there some differences in the drugs from Canada?

A. Sometimes the pharmaceutical companies choose to use different names for the identical drug in different countries for marketing reasons. Occasionally the same drug with the same ingredients might be issued in capsule form in one country, but available in tablets in another. Also, the items may be packaged in various types of containers, or with a different number of pills per package.

Q. Can you ship any prescription drug?

A. No. Although Canadian Prescription Drugstore .com has approximately 3000 different medications available, not all drugs are available for shipment from Canada. Drugs are regularly being newly approved and taken off the market for use in Canada, if you cannot find a certain drug by searching our list of medications, please contact us and we will be happy to check if it is available. Also, we do not ship any drugs that require refrigeration or controlled substances such as narcotics, sedatives, etc.

Q. Can you provide me with a prescription?

A. No. For us to ship medications, you must provide us with a valid prescription from your licensed physician.

The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law.
