Why is Edronax prescribed?

Edronax (Reboxetine) is used to treat depression and maintenance who is acting well with the treatment.

What does it do?

Edronax helps treat depression by boosting the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that regulate mood.

How should I take it?

This medication is taken orally, and usual dose is 4mg twice daily and can be increased after 3-4 weeks. It can be taken with or without food, ideally at the same time each day.

What if I missed a dose?

If you miss a dose of Edronax, do not take two doses to make up for the missed one. Simply wait until it's time for your next dose and continue your treatment as usual.

What are the special precautions before taking Edronax?

If you are allergic to Reboxetine or any of its ingredients, do not take the medication. Allergy symptoms may include

  • Hives
  • Asthma attacks with difficulty breathing, wheezing, or rapid breathing.
  • Sudden swelling of the face or other body parts, especially affecting the throat.
  • Anaphylactic shock (loss of consciousness, sweating, etc.).

Take special care with Reboxetine if you have:

  • Glaucoma (high eye pressure), as it could worsen.
  • Liver or kidney issues.
  • A history of seizures (e.g., epilepsy), as it may trigger an attack.
  • A tendency to low blood pressure (hypotension) or are on blood pressure medication, as it may lower your blood pressure further.
  • Heart problems (e.g., recent heart attack), as it can increase your heart rate.
  • Prostate problems (e.g., enlarged prostate) or difficulty urinating, as it could worsen the condition.
  • Are being treated with other antidepressants like monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or lithium.

If you have thoughts of self-harm or suicide, contact your doctor or go to a hospital immediately. It can help to inform a close friend or family member about your condition and ask them to monitor changes in your behavior or worsening depression.

Does it have any side effects?

Like all medications, reboxetine can cause side effects, though not everyone will experience them. Most of the side effects are mild and tend to disappear within the first few weeks of treatment.
    Common side effects may include:
  • Chills
  • Dizziness, headache
  • Increased heart rate (tachycardia), palpitations, vasodilation, postural hypotension (dizziness when changing positions suddenly)
  • Blurred vision, difficulty focusing
  • Loss of appetite, nausea
  • Difficulty urinating, feeling of incomplete bladder emptying, urinary tract infections
  • Erectile dysfunction, testicle pain, pain or delayed ejaculation

In addition, other adverse effects have been reported, including anxiety, nausea, vomiting, irritability, aggressive behavior, hallucinations, cold extremities, abnormal sensations like tingling, high blood pressure, and skin reactions or allergic irritation.

This list doesn't include all possible side effects associated with Reboxetine use, both well-known and those still under investigation. If you feel unwell, contact the doctor who prescribed this medication.

Is it safe to take it with another drug?

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are currently taking or have recently taken any other medications, including herbal products or over-the-counter drugs.

The effects of reboxetine treatment may be affected when used alongside other medications. It is crucial for your doctor to be aware if you are using any of the following medications, as adjustments to your dose may be necessary:
  • Antifungal medications, such as Ketoconazole.
  • Blood pressure-lowering drugs (Antihypertensives).
  • Heart medications, such as Flecainide.
  • Certain antibiotics, such as Erythromycin.
  • Immunosuppressants (drugs that weaken the immune system), such as Cyclosporine.
  • Ergot derivatives, used for Parkinson’s disease, treating migraines, or preventing/treating bleeding after abortion or childbirth.
  • Other antidepressants, such as Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs)

How should I store it?

Store Edronax in its original packaging in a cool, dry place, away from heat and light. Make sure to keep this medication out of sight and reach of children.

What action should I take in case of overdose?

If you or someone you know overdoses on reboxetine, contact a doctor for guidance on the appropriate care. If the symptoms of the overdose are severe, seek immediate medical attention by going to the hospital for observation and treatment.

Is it safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

Take precautions if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as Edronax can be transferred from the mother to the fetus through the umbilical cord and to the infant through breast milk.

Canadian Prescription Drug Store dispenses medications from our fully licensed and independently verified pharmacy partners around the world from Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Mauritius.

Legal disclaimer: The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian online pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law. However, many legal experts disagree with the FDA's position in this regard stating that such importation is permitted under certain federal and state laws. Several State governments and consumer rights groups actively promote the importation of medications. The FDA itself provides the public information on how to import medications safely. Furthermore, there is no record of any US individual being prosecuted by the FDA for importing non-controlled prescription drugs for their personal use.
