Why is Verquvo prescribed?

Verquvo is a prescription medication prescribed for adults with chronic heart failure symptoms, particularly those who have recently been hospitalized or required intravenous (IV) treatment. It is specifically for individuals with an ejection fraction of less than 45%, helping to lower the risk of death and reduce the likelihood of future hospitalizations.

What does it do?

Verquvo activates a protein in your body called soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC), which helps relax blood vessels, including those in the heart. This relaxation improves blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart muscle, enabling it to function more effectively.

How should I take it?

Verquvo is taken orally usually once a day, preferably with food. If you have difficulty swallowing the tablet whole, you can crush it and mix it with water. Be sure to drink the mixture immediately without chewing.

What if I missed a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember on the same day. Then, continue with your next dose at the usual time, maintaining your once-daily schedule. Do not take two doses in one day.

Why is Verquvo prescribed?

You should not use Verquvo if:

  • You are pregnant. If you become pregnant while taking Verquvo, contact your doctor immediately
  • You are allergic to Verquvo, vericiguat, or any of the ingredients in the specific formulation of Verquvo. Your pharmacist can provide a list of all the ingredients in the product.
  • Do not take Verquvo unless it has been prescribed by your healthcare provider. Follow the prescribed dosage instructions carefully.

Does it have any side effects?

It is important to note that all drugs have corresponding side effects and adverse reactions.
      Common side effects may include:
  • Low blood pressure
  • Anemia (low red blood cell count)

  • Trouble swallowing or tightness in the throat
  • Other side effects of Verquvo may also occur, which are not listed here. If you suspect you're experiencing any side effects from the medication, contact your doctor.

Is it safe to take it with another drug?

Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, particularly:
  • Erectile dysfunction medications such as Viagra, Levitra, Cialis, Sildenafil, Tadalafil, Stendra, and others.
  • Any other medication known as a soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) stimulator, like Riociguat (Adempas).
  • This is not a complete list. Always inform your healthcare provider about any prescription or other supplements you are taking.

    How should I store it?

Verquvo should be stored at room temperature. It can be temporarily exposed to temperatures between 59°F and 86°F (15°C to 30°C), such as during transportation. Keep the medication in a cool, dry place.

What action should I take in case of overdose?

Low blood pressure is the initial sign of Verquvo, seek medical assistance immediately or go to the nearest emergency department.

Is it safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

Pregnancy: Verquvo may harm an unborn baby. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, inform your doctor. If you become pregnant while taking Verquvo, stop the medication immediately and contact your doctor. A negative pregnancy test is required before starting Verquvo. If you are able to become pregnant, use effective birth control during treatment and for 1 month after your last dose.

Canadian Prescription Drug Store dispenses medications from our fully licensed and independently verified pharmacy partners around the world from Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Mauritius.

Legal disclaimer: The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian online pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law. However, many legal experts disagree with the FDA's position in this regard stating that such importation is permitted under certain federal and state laws. Several State governments and consumer rights groups actively promote the importation of medications. The FDA itself provides the public information on how to import medications safely. Furthermore, there is no record of any US individual being prosecuted by the FDA for importing non-controlled prescription drugs for their personal use.
