  • Description

Why is Calquence prescribed?

Calquence (Acalabrutinib) is a chemotherapy medication prescribed to adult patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) which was previously treated. It is also indicated to treat patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL).

What does it do?

Calquence is under a class of drugs called Tyrosine Kinase inhibitors. It works by stopping or blocking the BTK messenger enzymes to stop the cancer cells from multiplying and growing. It halts the spread of cancer cells in the body.

How should I take it?

It is available in capsule formulation to be taken orally (by mouth). It can be taken with or without food (on or before a meal twice a day) every 12 hours or as prescribed. The capsule must be swallowed whole, do not open, break, or chew. This should only be taken with a doctor's prescription because the dosing regimen varies from patient to patient. The prescription must be strictly followed.

What if I missed a dose?

If a dose was missed, take it immediately. Otherwise, you may skip a dose and take the next one as usual if more than 3 hours have elapsed from the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to replace the missed dosage.

What are the special precautions before taking Calquence?

Before taking this medication, please take a note of the following precautions:
  • Tell your doctor if you have had an allergy to this medication.
  • Limit exposure to the sun as this may increase the risk of having cancer such as skin cancer.

Canadian Prescription Drug Store dispenses medications from our fully licensed and independently verified pharmacy partners around the world from Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Mauritius.

Legal disclaimer: The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian online pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law. However, many legal experts disagree with the FDA's position in this regard stating that such importation is permitted under certain federal and state laws. Several State governments and consumer rights groups actively promote the importation of medications. The FDA itself provides the public information on how to import medications safely. Furthermore, there is no record of any US individual being prosecuted by the FDA for importing non-controlled prescription drugs for their personal use.
