Why is Edarbi prescribed?

Edarbi (Azilsartan Medoxomil) is a prescription medication for managing high blood pressure or hypertension in adults, while Edarbyclor is also prescribed for the same condition. Your doctor may recommend taking other medicines with Edarbi to effectively control your high blood pressure.

What does it do?

Edarbi works by blocking receptors in your body that typically bind to a hormone known as angiotensin II. When angiotensin II attaches to these receptors, it causes blood vessels to constrict. By blocking these receptors, Edarbi helps relax the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more freely. This can lower blood pressure and may decrease your risk of heart attack and stroke.

How should I take it?

This drug is for oral use. Use Edarbi as per your doctor prescribed dose, but the usual dose is 80 mg per day, and this can be taken with or without food.

What if I missed a dose?

Take it as soon as you remember but if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take this drug at the regular time. Do not take a double dose to catch up for the missed dose.

What are the special precautions before taking Edarbi?

Always inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking, your current and previous medical history
  • Do not take Edarbi if you have a low urine output due to kidney problems (Anuria).

  • Individuals with elevated levels of uric acid in the blood may be at risk for developing gout. If you already have gout, inform your doctor if your symptoms worsen.
  • If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Edarbi, you should avoid taking this medication or discontinue its use.

    • Dizziness

Canadian Prescription Drug Store dispenses medications from our fully licensed and independently verified pharmacy partners around the world from Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Mauritius.

Legal disclaimer: The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian online pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law. However, many legal experts disagree with the FDA's position in this regard stating that such importation is permitted under certain federal and state laws. Several State governments and consumer rights groups actively promote the importation of medications. The FDA itself provides the public information on how to import medications safely. Furthermore, there is no record of any US individual being prosecuted by the FDA for importing non-controlled prescription drugs for their personal use.
