Taclonex ointment is prescribed to treat psoriasis vulgaris of the scalp and body for people 18 years and older. This is only intended to be applied externally.

What does it do?

Taclonex is a combination of Betamethasone, a steroid, and Calcipotriene, a form of vitamin D. These components of Taclonex prevents the build-up of skin into thick, scaly patches by slowing down its growth.

How should I apply it?

Taclonex is currently available in 0.005%/0.064% ointment in 60g, 90g,120g, and 180g tubes. Before and after using this medicine, it is recommended to wash your hands thoroughly unless you are using it to treat your hands. Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected area(s), as directed by your doctor. Rub it in gently and completely. Do not bandage or cover the area unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
