Why is Armonair Respiclick prescribed?

Armonair Respiclick contains fluticasone propionate, a corticosteroid, and is used for the long-term management of asthma as a preventive treatment in adults and children aged 4 years and older.

What does it do?

Armonair Respiclick helps prevent asthma symptoms by reducing inflammation in the airways, making breathing easier. It is part of a class of medications known as inhaled steroids and is commonly referred to as a controller inhaler. It should not be used for treating a sudden asthma attack.

How should I take it?

Use this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor and the usual dose is 1 inhalation twice a day. Do not use more of it or use it more frequently than instructed. Also, do not stop using it without consulting your doctor, as doing so may increase the risk of side effects. It may take 1 to 2 weeks or longer to experience the full benefits of this medication.

Gargling and rinsing your mouth with water after each dose may help prevent hoarseness, throat irritation, and mouth infections. However, make sure not to swallow the water after rinsing.

What if I missed a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the scheduled dose instead. Do not take two doses at once.

What are the special precautions before taking Armonair Respiclick?

Inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking, your current and previous medical history. Your healthcare team needs to know if you have any of the following conditions:
  • An allergic or unusual reaction to steroids, lactose, fluticasone, or other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives.
  • Current use of steroids such as dexamethasone or prednisone
  • Eye disease
  • Recent surgery
  • Immune system issues
  • Injury to the mouth or throat
  • Osteoporosis or weak bones
  • Infections, particularly viral infections like cold sores, chickenpox, or herpes
  • Vision problems
  • Discuss with your healthcare team how to manage an acute asthma attack or bronchospasm (wheezing), and always keep a short-acting inhaler on hand. If using your short-acting inhaler doesn’t relieve symptoms or if they worsen, contact your healthcare team right away. You and your healthcare team should create a personalized Asthma Action Plan. Make sure you understand what to do if you enter the yellow zone (asthma worsening) or red zone (medical emergency).

This medication may increase the risk of infection. If you experience fever, chills, sore throat, or other cold or flu symptoms, consult your healthcare team for advice. Avoid contact with sick individuals. Long-term use of this medication may weaken your bones, increasing the risk of fractures and be sure to visit your healthcare team regularly to track your progress. If your symptoms don’t improve or worsen, inform them immediately.

Does it have any side effects?

It is important to note that all drugs have corresponding side effects and adverse reactions.
      Common side effects may include:
  • Change in taste
  • Cough
  • Diarrhea
  • Headache
  • Hoarseness
  • Sore throat
    • Serious side effects may include:
  • Allergic reactions, such as a itching, hives, skin rash, or swelling of the face, tongue, lips, or throat
  • Flu-like symptoms, including fever, chills, cough, headache, muscle pain, and fatigue
  • Signs of low adrenal gland function, such as unusual weakness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, or dizziness
  • Pain, tingling, or numbness in the hands or feet
  • Sinus pain or pressure around the face or forehead
  • Thrush (white patches in the mouth)
  • Worsening wheezing or trouble breathing after use
  • This list may not cover all possible side effects. Contact your doctor for advice if you experience any side effects.

Is it safe to take it with another drug?

Some drug interactions may cause serious or life-threatening reactions when administered together. Immediately inform your doctor if you are taking Armonair Respiclick with any of the following medications:
  • Desmopressin
  • Nefazodone
  • Certain antivirals used for HIV or hepatitis
  • Certain antibiotics, such as clarithromycin and telithromycin
  • Some medications for fungal infections, including itraconazole, posaconazole, ketoconazole, and voriconazole
  • This list may not cover all possible interactions. Be sure to provide your healthcare provider with a complete list of all medications.

    How should I store it?

Store the inhaler in a cool, dry place. Regular maintenance is not necessary. If the mouthpiece requires cleaning, simply wipe it gently with a dry cloth or tissue as needed. Never wash or submerge any part of the inhaler in water.

What action should I take in case of overdose?

If you believe you have taken too much of this medication, contact your doctor or go to the emergency room immediately.

Is it safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant before using this medication, as its effects on a fetus are not known. It is also unclear whether this medication passes into breast milk.

Other corticosteroids have been found in human milk, but since fluticasone propionate and salmeterol levels in plasma after inhaled therapeutic doses are low, the concentrations in breast milk are likely to be similarly low. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Canadian Prescription Drug Store dispenses medications from our fully licensed and independently verified pharmacy partners around the world from Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Mauritius.

Legal disclaimer: The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian online pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law. However, many legal experts disagree with the FDA's position in this regard stating that such importation is permitted under certain federal and state laws. Several State governments and consumer rights groups actively promote the importation of medications. The FDA itself provides the public information on how to import medications safely. Furthermore, there is no record of any US individual being prosecuted by the FDA for importing non-controlled prescription drugs for their personal use.
